Getting around: Metro buses operate free of charge in the Ride Free Zone, which encompasses most of the downtown area. Seattle’s elevated Monorail operates from Westlake Center Mall to Seattle Center; one way fares are $2. Cars are a convenient mode of transport for exploring outlying areas.
