Taxis, best reached by phone, are also convenient for short distances. Travelers interested in public transportation enjoy a large "ride free zone" spanning practically all of downtown; the zone begins three blocks southwest of the hotel. Although rush hour traffic is heavy, it is also possible to drive downtown; garages are generally easier to find than on-street parking. Rental cars are the best bet for travel beyond the immediate area.
